Is it not in the migration whitepapers?

It is mentioned in the KB:

I couldnot find any KB article which will tell exact steps of moving
connectors, public folders etc from Ex 5.5 to Ex 2000 server. I have
moved all mailboxes from Ex 5.5 to Ex 2000 and now wants to decommission
Ex 5.5
