Each one does it differently. Exchange 2007 uses A/D differently than Exchange 2003 did. It doesn't use some attributes that Exchange 2003 did. When Exchange 2007 was installed, it looked at A/D and determined whether it needed to update A/D, or whether it needed to "start from scratch". If it "started from scratch", then Exchange 2003 won't install, because: 1) it'll see that the schema versions don't match, and 2) security is wrong. Regards, Michael B.
