We do. Port 25 blocked outbound except for mail server. Everything forced to relay through mail server. Mail server forced though filtering device. We scan for AV and Spam. Why? Because if a pc were to be compromised and start spewing we need to block it and know about it right away. If spam or other malware were to get out from such an event it would affect our IP/domain's reputation and deliverability would suffer. It's also just the right thing to do IMHO, neighborhood watch style.
