Our company have recently merged with another and we are in the process
of moving users from Our Domain to a Child Domain in the new company.
I am using the Active Directory Migration Wizard and can move the users
without a problem to the new domain.
However once in the new child domain they can not access their mailbox
which resides on an exchange server in the old domain. When I migrated
the user I chose to migrate the Users SID to Target Domain, which I
thought would continue to allow me access to resources including the
mailbox in the old domain.
What can I do (If anything) so that migrated users continue to be able
to access there Mailbox on an exchange 2003 server in the old domain.
(We will eventually be setting up a new exchange server in the new child
domain, but can not do this at the moment.)
There is a 2 way trust between the Old Domain and the new domain. Both
domains are running Windows 2003 sp2.
