Yes, I have some history with ARCserve, and we used Commvault here prior to switching to BE12.

I'm not really expecting to have any issues in migrating to BE12, I've been using BE for a number of years, each new version has it's quirks for sure, but never anything really seriously wrong. Plus I have a ~2 year old Adic Scalar i500 w/6 LTO3 drives, I don't expect to see any performance degradation ;) On 7/25/08, Roger Wright <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: It's mostly me getting used to how BE12 works. I don't like not being able to multiplex jobs so backing up 30 severs takes too long, but this is aggravated by some network segments being on a 100mbps network and our aging DLT1 library. Also, I can't encrypt data while using compression. But so far every restore job has been 100% successful. I'm finding that Backup Exec 12 has its own quirks but I'm getting used to them. When the software was working, it worked fairly well. I became quite the expert on uninstalling/reinstalling that software; even when calling their tech support regarding issues, most of the resolutions were this. I also tested this with CA ARCserve and the process worked well.
