Do you have an unmounted mail store?

We had this issue where I created some stores and didn't mount them because
there was anything in them yet. Our netbackup SW then failed to back them up
because they weren't mounted and although it grabbed all the data from our
other stores it couldn't parse those darn logs.

Your case sounds suspiciously close ;)

Subject: E2k7: Logs not truncating

We have logs for the store going to a 50gb volume. Today, clean out of the
blue, client access to the server shuts down. We're using Windows backup with
the log switch. Apparently, the logs have not been committing as the log volume
filled.

We see these events when the job completes (I just ran it again):

Event Type: Information
Event Source: ESE
Event Category: Logging/Recovery
Event ID: 213
User: N/A
Description:
MSExchangeIS (1980) (theSTOREname): The backup procedure has been successfully
completed.

I also found this:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: ESE
Event Category: Logging/Recovery
Event ID: 520
User: N/A
Description:
MSExchangeIS (1980) (theSTOREname): Log truncation failed because not all log
files required for recovery were successfully copied.

The server (and services) is up and running. I moved one of the database logs
to another volume to get the server back up, but I am concerned the logs space
will fill again.

My Google foo is weak. I can't find anything on event 520.

Could use some help with a direction to look.

Thx in advance,
Joe L.
