I believe I found my answer, so I apologize for the previous interruption.

After a fresh look it was "MoveAllReplicas.ps1 -Server Server01 -NewServer
Server02" that allowed me to clear the hanging replicas, and finally remove the
DB.

Subject: How to remove PF database from E2K7

We have a mixed E2K3 & E2K7 environment with several old test E2K7 servers (and
CCR clusters) that have PF DBs on them. I'd like to begin cleaning up the
environment and removing the old servers, but the PFs appear to present an
issue. The EMC wont allow me to remove the DBs because the PF DB "contains
folder replicas". I have read several TechNet articles, and now I feel
thoroughly confused. I want to delete the old E2K7 test servers and hence
their PF databases, but I don't want to delete the PF structure for my users.

Is it correct to say that if I leave at least 1 PF DB on an E2K7 server, then
when I remove the PF DBs on the "other" E2K7 servers that I wont be affecting
the E2K3 PF structure? I had planned on using the EMS command-let

Remove-PublicFolderDatabase -Identity
"old_E2K7_server_name\old_PFSG_name\old_PFDB_name"

Thank you in advance for any suggestions or commentary.
