The systemmailbox isn't a problem. You will have one of those on every server which hosts both a SMTP Virtual Server and an Information Store.
Those get deleted when you delete the server. So.the question becomes, how did you delete the server? Regards, Michael B. In the ADSI edit, looking at the 'exchange system objects' - 'system mailbox' There are 3 references to the 'home' server that are pointing to the old server. - HomeMTA - - HomeMDB - - MsExchHomeServerName - Maybe all I need change the server name? If they don't help, we'll have to go directory diving. Regards, Michael B. I'm sure I removed the old server correctly but(obviously I didn't) it still pops up and I can see it being referenced in the 07 server. It doesn't seem to be causing any problems -yet. I need to rebuild the old server and I'm afraid it is going to mess with my current server. Any direction I can go to find out more about this and remove it? It is the bottom server.
