Exchange is overkill. All you need is the Windows SMTP service. And it's a
heck of a lot easier to configure for this.

But sure, Exchange can do that.

Subject: Exchange 2007 as an outbound relay only

Hi All,

I was wondering if this was possible to do...

I have been asked to setup Exchange 2007 as an outbound relay server for
sendign messages only. we have several application server that need to send

email to multiple external domains.

These App servers and Exchange are in a DMZ in their own domain. All we
need to do is to setup exchange properly to send email out from these
applications.

I was thinking to setup 1 mailbox to recieve NDR notifications. So i would
set this server up as a MB and HT

Any thoughts or suggestion on this?

Thanks

Travis
