I just finished running ExTRA on an exchange server and it's griping
about the FCL showing some slow calls to the LSASS. Almost every search
comes up with setting the NeverPing registry subkey to "1". Common
sense would dictate that making this change keeps the server from either
answering a ping or allowing it to ping. Knowing the way that Micro$oft
plays with words, I know better than to assume. Anyone familiar with
this subkey and what it does? Specific concern is that there is
monitoring software in place that uses pings to determine if the system
is up.
