When the executives of a company are willing to accept internet email, but
won't accept email from their own employees internally it's probably not going
to end well, IMHO.

You're welcome. You do realize there's nothing to stop an internal person from
using a personal email account to send to that mailbox - right? Then, there's
nothing stopping you from adding that external account to the blocked group as
a contact either. Could be an ongoing, time consuming battle - I'd make sure
the powers that be realize that.

The only thing that comes to mind is to create a group that contains all
internal addresss/staff and restrict the mailbox to accept email from everyone
but that group (which would not contain your 2 internal people you want to be
able to send to that person).

Is there anyway to just limit it to internal users only?

Once question about restricting who can send email to a particular person.
That doesn't restrict external email correct? Just people internally from
sending them email?

Thank you,

If they are not in the GAL they may have trouble using OWA if that applies to
this situation. Maybe someone here knows away around that issue......

You can send to someone who isn't in the GAL, but you have to know their email
address, They'll have to be in a PAB for lookups to work.

Do they want to be removed from the GAL, or do they want to restrict who can
see them in the GAL? You can't hve it both ways.

I was under the impression if you hid someone's account from the DL that when
you sent them email that the email would bounce back?

One other request I just got from the management is that they want only the
Upper Managment and BOD's only to see each other in the GAL.

On the Exchange General tab, look at Delivery Restrictions -Message
restrictions - Only From:

On the Exchage Advanced tab, check the "Hide from Exchange address lists" box.

Subject: Delivery Question

 All-

We have a group of members that we don't want the rest of the population to be
able to send to. We just want the vice presidents and a few key other people
to be able to send to them. What is the best way to do this? And is there
anyway of doing this with removing them from the GAL so everyone can't see them?

Thank you,
