Yes, they know exchange. I tried to only participate when I had a
problem. The BLB conversations were usually pretty humorous as an outsider.
It was clear that people were clamoring for something more intelligent than
the DR kluge, and also clear the vendors were trying to accommodate that
desire.

I know what you mean. I was in the same boat (except I knew enough to keep
my "mouth" shut most of the times).
Yeah, the two "Ed's" really dumped on someone who suggested BLB.
(But, then again, they really knew Exchange and gave out a lot of good
advice and recommendations.)

Yup. Tough list if you were a noob, which I was. It was pretty frustrating
sometimes, since all the "exchange experts" seemed to think the purpose of
the list was to just congregate together and embarrass anyone who asked a
question that somebody may have asked within the last 6 months. For some
of us exchange was/is just another application we had to support as opposed
to a career path.

And god forbid anyone suggest not running Trend, or running brick level
backups.

Steven Wynkoop is still around, in AZ I think, still involved in SQL stuff
last I saw.

I miss the old Swynk list . maybe this list has a little bit of the same
attitude.
