Someone has already mentioned to you that the Last Modified Date is the governing factor here, and that adding that field using Field Chooser would help you determine the last modified date. However, I have found that while this works pretty much as advertised, I do find it does not work with all messages, and have found that there are messages whose last modified date has gone by the criteria set for deletion, and yet the message remains, often way past the time it should have been removed.
I had one such message in my Deleted Items that hung around for years past the 30 day period prior to deletion, according to the last modified date, before I manually deleted it in a fit of cleaning up my Outlook messages. I have yet to see an explanation for this occurring. \\Steve// -----Original Message----- From: Steve Hart [mailto:sh...@wrightbg.com] Sent: Friday, April 16, 2010 4:06 PM To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Subject: Auto-deleting Exchange 2007 SP2, Outlook 2002 I have a user that's attempting to permanently delete emails over 3 months old in a single Outlook folder using the auto-archive functionality. Nothing is being deleted. I've checked her OL configuration and it seems correct, but I've never used the feature. Any common reasons why emails might not delete?
