Just to throw one out there, we're looking at Blackberry right now though it's
currently not past the "let's see if we can get some on loan" stage.

Can anyone throw anything at me from the BES Express perspective that is either
spectacularly good or spectacularly bad?

We're just looking to do the "usual things" and have some management of our
mobiles - I don't think right now that we want to get especially control freaky.

I'll concur. I reboot my BES about 3 times as often as the Exchange server.

Express is free other than tariff costs to have a Blackberry. Regarding where
to install it, my understanding is you can install it on the Exchange box for
less than 75 users, but it's recommended to use a dedicated box regardless
(apparently "reboot the BES" is quite a commonly proffered solution to problems
but that's anecdotal).

Does anyone know what is the price on additional CAL's for BESx?

We have a small BPS install of 11 users and am migrating to BESX.

Thanks,

My understanding ON the box install recommended for less than 75 users.

We dissected our domain, created 2 new E2K7 domains on HV VM's and installed
BESx ON both. No worries. some difficulty logging into management console
first time, but that's nothing new.

I have heard conflicting feedback the BESX does not have to be on separate box
and can be installed on same Exchange installation. Can feedback be provided
on this scenario?

We have a sister company that implemented it and they haven't complained at
all. Pretty quick to install and set up. Users were removed from my full BES
and activated on their BESx and can't tell the difference. Whole lot faster
than using BIS or Http. And yes put it on it's own machine or VM.

Hi folks,

Has anyone out there deployed Blackberry Express? Yes, the free version of BES.

Anything to share from your experience?

Regards,
