There seems to be a few different event IDs depending on the event that caused
it so I was looking for something outside of the event viewer.

A specific event is logged when a database gets dismounted - I forget the exact
event ID but you should be able to find it easily. Doesn't Windows Server 2008
also have a mechanism to email when a specific alert is generated, too?

Any good free ideas for monitoring ex2007 databases being mounted/dismounted?
