That's correct. But the servers (and the mailboxes) will be in a single
DAG.

We're still working this scenario out here, but according to my Exchange
2010 instructor and what we did in lab, you should be able to have
active and passive separate databases residing on the same mailbox
server.

I need to design an active-active, site-tolerant configuration for our
migration from E2k3 to E2k10.  Question - I realize I need two DAGs.
One with the active database copies in CA and the passive in AZ, and the
other with its active copies in AZ and the passive in CA.  Does this
mean 4 mailbox servers are required, or can a single pair of
sufficiently sized mailbox serves host 2 DAGs?  I realize I'll need a
witness and alternate witness server in each site.  There will be 2
combination CAS/HT servers in each site as well as a local CAS array.
