Have you tested the /resetnavpane switch?

Not sure what O/S you're using but open Outlook with that switch. See if
that helps at all. Otherwise, check for a KB.

Is there any reason why this behaviour would be consistent with only a
subset of Public Folders? I added a test Calendar and that stays in the
list, whereas the real Calendar is still disappearing between restarts!

I've just applied SP3, but no dice.

I've managed to find that it's my username.xml file that's causing the
problem. I can delete the file, start Outlook, switch from Calendar to Mail
and back to Calendar again, and the shared folder will magically reappear.
When Outlook gets closed down, username.xml is regenerated, and then I
cannot view the shared folder without adding it again, or closing Outlook
and deleting username.xml.

I cannot reproduce the problem with Outlook 2010, so at least we've got a
known workaround.

Harrumph!

That SOUNDS like a problem with Outlook 2003 that was supposed to be fixed
by SP1 UR6. But I've not heard of it affecting Outlook 2007.

Hi all,

I wouldn't normally bring this up but I think we've got an issue that may be
caused by some recent patches. I'm really not sure, but I'm hoping you folks
are setting similar symptoms.

Outlook 2007, SP1 or SP2 I've seen so far. If you try and open a shared
Calendar from the Outlook Shared Calendars list, the entry on that list just
disappears. You then have to open the Calendar again and it will correctly
open, display and be persistent on the Shared Calendar list. Then, when
Outlook is restarted, the same behaviour happens again.

I've had an abnormal number of customers reporting this problem, and it
seems to have started sometime around the middle of this month.

Does this sound familiar to anyone else?

Cheers

Richard
