No, but there will appear to be. Odds are that you're running Outlook in cached mode, which means the GAL it's showing you is a copy of the OAB. Since the OAB is refreshed on a schedule rather than immediately and it has to be downloaded to your PC after the update, it can take a while for your copy to reflect the GAL.
Outlook Web Access will show it being hidden immediately.
