They can be another kettle of fish. Compared to Exchange 2010, Exchange 2003 was stupid. It allowed invalid values. This can cause PF replication to fail and on the Exchange 2010 message for PF repl messages to end up as poison message. So... you may have to turn off poison message detection on the 2010 side.
Yes, I'd still avoid MoveAllReplicas. But for everything else - I'd do the management on the 2003 side.
