The only benefit to splitting the logs and db comes from specific recovery
scenarios but with the cost and ease of a dag, that just makes more sense.

Otherwise the layout makes sense to me.

Hi all,

I'm going to set up a new exchange 2010 server (single server solution) the
server has 6 drives and I'm looking for optimal config, ~ 70 users <100gb
store for now.
I was initially thinking 1 mirror OS and tlogs then raid 10 (4 drives) for
the database (these will all be 7.2k 500gb sata drives), then I was reading
that with the improved I/O on 2010
it feasible to put the the Tlogs and database on the same array, can anyone
throw some suggestions / recommendations for possible configs?
