We checked the Outlook settings. We deleted and re-created the profile. We reinstalled Outlook. He still had the issue. The problem apparently has weeded itself out by the user deleting the appointments. We'll keep an eye on it and see if it occurs again (and it probably will as he still has 2 devices and will still try to manage his calendar using 1 or both of them).
