I have seen too many things like this one caused by cached mode. New groups and users that take forever to show up or disappear when deleted. Inboxes out of sync, all kinds of weird issues…over the years. I turn it off with group policy. If I had traveling users…that travel a lot I would work with them, but I don’t. I see no benefit from it for stationary users with a decent link.
Hate is a strong word.
