I am told that SolarWinds has a solution for this as does Nagios
(http://www.nagios.org/).

Thanks.

But is there anything or any way to specifically monitor each database in the
DAG for when they move to a different node in the DAG? We have this happen more
often than I'd care to admit and doesn't cause any outage but it does happen
and I'd like to know when. We don't have SCCM in place nor will it be for a few
more moths and I'd like something in the interim.

Is there anything out there that will alert me to when a database in a DAG
fails to another server? Can I monitor anything in the logs for this?

Thanks

Phil
