But seriously someone will probably see it and either poke the right
person or just apply it. Some of the packages sets BUGS_TO - you could
also use that information.

If someone has any comments or questions to your patch, I'm sure said
person will poke you on IRC :-)

There's nothing wrong with using the ML for patches per se but IRC is
much quicker and it's the way we usually deal with that.
