You need to be careful with things like that. Right now, the list of things that have the property that if they break then Paludis breaks is fairly short (and can be made even shorter if your GCC is new enough to do static-libstdc++ properly). Being able to use git is all well and good, but not being able to fix your system if you don't have git is going to hurt. -- Ciaran McCreesh
