Thats part of it - there are some notes on this at http://wiki.exim.org/EximRelease I've never got the test suite working to my satisfaction - it always feels very fragile and I have to tweak the platform its running on a lot to make it go at all.... and even then I have trouble interpreting the output. Since I don't have the VMs I used for this last time, firing up the test suite now is likely to be a several evening job at best.
