Bug ID: 2772 Summary: Exim unable to execute under elevated/administrator session in cygwin win10 Product: Exim Version: 4.92 Hardware: x86 OS: Windows Status: NEW Severity: bug Priority: medium Component: General execution Assignee: unalloca...@exim.org Reporter: teun...@gmx.com CC: exim-dev@exim.org Im running the latest binary for cygwin, exim 4.92.3-1. I usually run a terminal in elevated/administrator mode but exim is unable to excecute in the session giving me an error: "Unable to setuid/gid to exim. priv_flags: 1" The daemon is run as a service as "SYSTEM" user. I got the bit setuid set. Have tried switching exim binary to different owners (SYSTEM,Administrator,[AdminUser],Local Services, etc) but has no effect, even if I give the binary "Full control" access in windows to "Everyone" and all other users that I've assigned as owner to the file. This started as soon as I upgraded Win 10 from very first release of Win10. If I run the terminal as regular user everything seems fine. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. -- ## List details at https://lists.exim.org/mailman/listinfo/exim-dev Exim details at http://www.exim.org/ ##
