--- Comment #13 from Konstantin <[email protected]> --- (In reply to Jeremy Harris from comment #12) > This is preferable since a server is probably > handling a greater rate of connections than a client. The RFC does not > specify any time-constraint on the connection closure beyond "after". Fair point :) In the meantime I've found a setting for the client, which will initiate the FIN from the client (mail.smtp.quitwait: https://javaee.github.io/javamail/docs/api/com/sun/mail/smtp/package-summary.html). Would you consider making the poll timeout configurable for clients that do not initiate the FIN of the tcp connection on their own? Thanks again for the discussion in this ticket. It is much appreciated. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. -- ## subscription configuration (requires account): ## https://lists.exim.org/mailman3/postorius/lists/exim-dev.lists.exim.org/ ## unsubscribe (doesn't require an account): ## [email protected] ## Exim details at http://www.exim.org/ ## Please use the Wiki with this list - http://wiki.exim.org/
