Why do you think the bug hasn't been fixed? If this is happening to you at times of high load then you need to fix your configuration to throttle the delivery rate. You also need to fix your configuration to not consider pipe delivery failures to be permanent errors, as I explained in the spamassassin bugzilla entry.
