Hmmm. Windows mail won't connect to our server using SPA, either. And it uses SPA regardless of whether "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" is checked, or if not whether Log on using Secure Password Authentication is checked. <http://support.microsoft.com/kb/930008> is somewhat discouraging (although it is MSN specific). <http://www.developerfood.com/pop3-spa-authentication/microsoft-public-windo ws-vista-mail/b33ae797-cf18-4870-990b-784381fb6197/article.aspx> ( <http://preview.tinyurl.com/37b4r8> if you prefer) is likewise discouraging (and led me to the knowledge base article. (It gets into SMTP despite the title.) <http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms715237.aspx> is more than one should have to know about storage of Microsoft Mail settings. But perhaps the file is being garbled. After all that, no joy. I hope I don't have to unlimber a debug build of Exim on our standby SMTP server. --John -- ## List details at http://www.exim.org/mailman/listinfo/exim-users ## Exim details at http://www.exim.org/ ## Please use the Wiki with this list - http://www.exim.org/eximwiki/
