I have a spamtrap to rbl system configured and i feed spamtrap addresses 
via  homepages.. This works very well. Some addresses gets hit by spam 
within  a few minutes or even seconds.

The spamtrapaddresses should be located on some "high" traffic websites. 
Where spamharvesters are most likely to find them fast.

Newsgroups seems to be a very slow option.
