This is what we do, and it's quite satisfactory. It works the same for Exchange and any other kind of SMTP server (of which we have several), and it doesn't require any special relationship with the destination server beyond what is needed to deliver email, e.g. no extra hole in the firewall for LDAP. This is an advantage for us because the Computing Service has little control over what departments and colleges may decide to do. Since others have already given examples of Exim configuration, pointers to the relevant information about configuring Exchange might be useful: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998898.aspx http://blogs.msdn.com/dlemson/archive/2003/10/17/52019.aspx Tony. -- <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://dotat.at/ ${sg{\N${sg{\ N\}{([^N]*)(.)(.)(.*)}{\$1\$3\$2\$1\$3\n\$2\$3\$4\$3\n\$3\$2\$4}}\ \N}{([^N]*)(.)(.)(.*)}{\$1\$3\$2\$1\$3\n\$2\$3\$4\$3\n\$3\$2\$4}} -- ## List details at http://lists.exim.org/mailman/listinfo/exim-users ## Exim details at http://www.exim.org/ ## Please use the Wiki with this list - http://wiki.exim.org/
