Depends what you mean by 'valid'.  If you mean 'does the domain exist in DNS,
and have A/MX records which suggest that the mail server is on a public IP
address', then yes.  If you mean 'does mail sent to the given email address
reach a real person without bouncing', then no, exim cannot tell you that.
