It's really YOUR PROBLEM. > Assuming nobody should run as open relay for spammers. IMO, it is not this case, it is remote RCPT domain, thus it can be not my (OP) problem. Sure, here can be problem with my (OP) DNS settings, but again, it is not this case. > So, it sounds strange to ask how to change diagnostic message "451 Temp..." > instead of real work to resolve this DNS or configuration issue... Except that SRVFAIL/REFUSED in this case is not "temporary" nor "local problem", thus that diagnostic message is useless. I decided to try how my system deals with such domain. I use two exims, one does MSA/MDA and second is dedicated for public send/recieve and acts as smarthost for MSA. When i send mail to that domain, MSA accept it, but then smarthost temporary rejects it with right message (cannot resolve, or so), but on MSA that message is "translated" to "temporary local problem" (as seen in queue). In my case i already have retry rule for rcpt_4xx (on MSA) with short threshold (1 day), thus tomorrow i will see what will be in bounce... regards -- Slavko https://www.slavino.sk/ -- ## subscription configuration (requires account): ## https://lists.exim.org/mailman3/postorius/lists/exim-users.lists.exim.org/ ## unsubscribe (doesn't require an account): ## [email protected] ## Exim details at http://www.exim.org/ ## Please use the Wiki with this list - http://wiki.exim.org/
