Just to support Appenrodt I've still decided to share some of my favourite
places. The only thing - they might be a bit difficult to find. But anyway:

1. Viet food )) The best ever place - quick, cheap, big portions is a bit
outside the Garden Ring, called "Hanoi": Savyolovskaya (!) m.st. as if
you go from the first carriage from the center and to the very right exit,
then 200 m to the right along the market and here you are. Good luck in
finding! But if you do find it, it's a pleasure to know.

2. Georgian food: Gourgiously located just off Bolshaya Nikitskaya in
Kalashnuy lane called "Na Kalashnom" - quick, cheap, tasty, but open only
until 21:00.

3. The cheapest option to eat and drink where you can select your pasta and
the rest of ingridients, and one of whose rare places with Ginger Ale in
place - "Mukha", go through the left arch from the entrance to Chekhovskaya
m.st. where Chekhov Museum is and it's just straight ahead. Be ready it's
often packed and they have no seats.

It's re quick and cheap food and drinking, not showing off, having business
meetings or something.

Go ahead and ask what other kind of places you're missing here.
And I guess it's actually not a question of being here for long or not. You
can spend here 10 years and have no idea of a real life, or you can come for
the weekend and be taken by locals to the best spots in the city. It's more
of a communicating with right people matter.
