I you buy a PC in Russia with the Russian version of Windows installed, some software, like later versions of Quicken, will not work with it. You need the International or US version. You also cannot just upgrade to the Professional version for instance, you have to buy the program, uninstall the Russian Windows, and then install the International version. But then the Russian drivers that came with your computer might not work.
Anyone who works in multiple languages, keyboards, date and time systems, and in fact for just about any reason whatsoever, should get a MacBook, whether here or somewhere else. Mac OSX has a completely international interface that can handle anything from Devanagari to Cherokee. Plus you don't get the "Missing DLL" and frozen systems every five minutes that come with Windows. Somehow, I don't have much more confidence in Vista.
