Our son was born in Moscow last month and now has a German passport like his parents but with no visa. We expect to get an exit visa for him plus an invitation (priglashenie) with which he will get a visa of the same type as ours.
My question is now - does this have to be in a Russian consulate in Germany or can this be any Russian consulate - even in the "near" abroad.
