I think the M8 is the best way to drive to Sergeiev Possad. This highway leads
to Iarolsav and Arangelsk.
It will take you about 1 hour and half, but you should leave Moscow before
11.00, in order to avoid traffic jams.

Hi Every body
I want to plan a short visit to one
or 2 cities of the golden ring next week. I want to leave on the morning
and come back in the evening one the same day.
I want to go by car, and I have my own
car. I plan to go at least to Sergev Possad, and if possible to Vladimir
too or another town that is near Sergev Possad.
Do you have info about the best road
to take (I only know it is nothe east of Moscow) and time to reach the
towns (kilometers are not a reference in Moscow, as traffic and old roads
can change the deal)?
What are the best points of interest
in these towns (Kreml, churches, lakes, other typical things to see????).
Is there any day when visits are not
possible (because church or Kreml is closed, like for example in Moscow
Kremlin that is closed on thursday)? What are the time for visits?
