If he is in a truck, he will need documentation on the items (what they are (family household goods), and whose they are).
I moved INTO Russia with a truck full of stuff. As long as you have the docs, and especially if you are personally accompanying it, you should not have any problems and should not have to pay ANY duties. Q: Is this stuff you brought INTO the RF? Or did you buy it here? _____ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Thomas Langley Sent: Wednesday, July 30, 2008 11:41 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Expat List Road trip A friend is thinking of driving from Bucharest to Moscow to collect his belongings (about 8 suitcases, a few small furniture items) then to return by the same route. Does anyone have any experience of similar trips. Should he expect any problems, with customs at the borders (Russia, Ukraine) or in other ways? Any advice would be appreicated. Tom
