Hello all expats-
I am an independent documentary filmmaker finishing a film about
Russia which will air on PBS in the US next year. I am coming back to
Moscow to work on it this fall and am urgently searching for a place
to sublet from October 13-November 30th. . .
The film's editor will be coming too, so we are looking for a 2-room
flat near a metro, and ideally near the center. (We have some final
filming to do and can't be too far out from the circle line. . .)
If you are going away, or know of anyone going away for some time this
fall who would like to sublet to a very responsible and neat person,
please please let me know. I can provide many many references of
people with whom I have stayed in Moscow as a guest while working on
this film. (Former CEO of Conoco Phillips, CFO of Procter and Gamble,
and many others.)
We are looking for a sublet, however, for those of you who are US
taxpayers, as the film is a non-profit, allowing us to stay there as
house-sitters would make the amount of your rent for that 7 week
period completely tax-deductible. (and of course you would get a thank
you in the film as well!)
Short term rentals in Moscow these days are sadly prohibitively
expensive for a documentary filmmaker on a tight budget so I am hoping
to have luck and timing smile on me and find someone who is going to
be away anyway this fall and wouldn't mind subletting!
