Colleagues, Regarding the Vista vs XP debate, I may say for my part that 4 months after buying a new PC featured only with Vista, I switched to Mac. All the more I knew my Toshiba can not fully downgrade to XP from vista and that I may lose my webcam driver or my wifi driver. I do not regret anything I do not use double Mac OS & XP parrel machines but only Mac Osx
The only problem I had was to move the mail archive from Outlook PC to Entourage Mac (as Bill gates made .pst files hardly compatible with other applications), but you can run it trough an imap session (takes some hours if you have tenths of Go as me of pst files) For the rest, I work in office 2008, fully compatible with MS-2007 (from the PC world) I enjoy the 1 000 000 lines excel, I use omniplan instead of ms project (compatible with it) and omnigraffle instead of visio, etc. The meeting invites from outlook are fully compatible with my entourage calendar. I just do not like I tunes. I will not return to the PC world : when you tasted apple, you understand what is an OS tought for the user, and not for your IT manager, you forget about blue screens, you forget about viruses, you enjoy shortcuts, etc. Bill was a marketing & business genius Steve was a computer genius. I need a computer, not marketing The price difference is now zero between comparable PC and Mac machines A Mac Book is enough for 95% of the users. So, between XP and vista, the winner is Mac ! And I am sure now the best advertising for buying a mac is a Vista experience. So thank you Bill for your Vista experience !
