HI,

I use megaphone USB stick. Superb and works well. Modem costs 2700 rubles and then 300r/month gives you 1gb of free internet. The bill normally comes to around 1000r/month and it works lovely.

I have the same problem in my building so I use "Skylink" mobile internet. Works really well (except at Sheremetyevo for some reason) and costs me
about $25/month. /Marika

Can anyone give some advice how I can get internet access?
I have a laptop (which can do wireless), but I don't have broadband access
at home. Apparently I live in an apartment where this is not possible
according to landlord and landline provider. Any available wireless networks
closeby are secured (so no exploiting neighbour's network option).

Dialup would be a pain, too slow.

I heard, that there is something called blue link which is supposed to
solve my problem. Anybody knows anything about this?

I also heard that one can use ones mobile phone and some sort of device to attach to the laptop to have internet connection via the mobile provider. I
currently use MTS for my mobile.

What options do I have? How much do they cost (device, plan, ...) and can
anyone recommend a specific provider or plan?

Appreciating any help I can get.

Thanks
Ricky

If you're located within the coverage zone, it's 500 rubles a month
for unlimited use

Get an external WiFi antenna to boost your signal if needed
