Fellow persusers of the LIST I remember seeing many requests recently for assistance in moving locally (Sarah Watterson) and other people looking for a guide/driver in Moscow .
I just came across an old friend -- I am sure that some of you have probably known him before -- A Russian driver who speaks English with a Voice of America twang and great command of English overall. He just helped me do a move for my girlfriend - which meant hawking boxes down 8 flights of stairs and up another four at the other end . His name is Evgeny -- or Gene as he prefers to be called . He drives a "Station wagon" if anyone can remember this term being used- and is punctual and reliable. Prices are reasonable -- for this move from one side of Moscow to the other and assistance in loading and offloading was less than 1000 -- not much less but it was worth more !!!
