For traveling out of country:
- Vayama.com - usually gives the best flight combinations.
- kayak.com - price sanity check.
For in-country travel, I use a live travel agent, as they usually know best.
I can recommend a good (but sometimes busy) one, if you are interested - please
reply off-list.

If you are more into business trips (flight. hotel, rental car) then I can
recommend a german travel agency (they speak english). They are specialized in
business trips and don't deal with typical recreation or vacation trips.
The website www.city-travel-roding.de .....you can switch the website to
english. You can contact them, they will make their offer. They are connected
with the airlines online reservation system and can supply you with more
accurate informations (availability, ticket confirmations ....) then any
website.

Unfortunately the map is not up to date, for example Malta stopped issuing
airport visa in 2007 when they entered Shengen. But thanks anyway.
Also I guess nobody will travel to South Ossetia (visa free for Russians)
for holiday ;-)
On another matter, can anyone recommend an online site where it is
possible to view rates and order airtickets?
I used Avantix before but this company no longer exists. Meantime, it
takes so much time to look at sites of individual airliners.
