I used this little shoe repair service (which sends the shoes somewhere?) in Kutusovsky Prospect close to Park Pobedy. It's to the left of the Victory Gate if you look into the city centre direction. Metro Station: Park Pobedy. It is the same entrance as "Produkty". There is just a tiny little sign on the door advertising dry cleaning service and shoe repair.
The seem of my boots was dissolving. Many shops refused to take it on. This shop did (with hesitation though), called me back confirming they can do it, told me how much it will cost, and when I agreed, did it within a week. And even reminded me to pick them up after I totally forgot about them for 2 weeks. This is what I call service. It wasn't cheap (20USD? - don't remember exactly) but well done.
