I need to transfer money into Russia from the US. I have done it with Sber Bank in the past, but am not very satisfied with them.
Issues: Documentation on bringing money into Russia (I would like more than a simple 'spravka' so that I will have the right to take this money back out of the country when that time comes. Commission. After Sber bank receives the money from my US bank, I must pay 1% to withdraw or transfer this money. Questions: 1. Has anyone had a positive experience with transferring money (over 10K) into Russia? 2. Which bank did you use? 3. Are there any banks here in Moscow that do not charge a commission for transferred funds received, or charge less than 1%? 4. Are there any banks that give official documentation (Sviditelstvo, or similar) on funds transferred into Russia more than just a simple paper? Thanks in advance for your replies.
