what has it come to when al-jazeera starts poking fun at nouveau riche 
behaviour triggered by the advent of the hydrocarbonic dollar? really i don't 
think your editors would have to look so far afield- surely the antics of 
Sheikh Issa bin Zayed al-Nahyan and his nailed plank offer much more value for 
money...

god only knows what nonsense 'russia today' are pouring forth from their 
arabic-language outlet to deserve this lame poke in the eye, but surely you can 
come up with something better.
