Hi all, My Company is currently doing a search for a senior logistics management consultant (Russian based) to work with a large private equity firm which has currently taken a large stake in a major logistics company.
The fund feels that the company could greatly benefit from the help of an experienced, successful, hands-on management consultant or manager from the logistics sector during the operational integration process and in its continued development. Company management has shown interest in engaging with an outside advisor, given he demonstrates the above-listed characteristics, is willing to collaborate with management on a longer-term basis and actively participates in implementing a devised strategy-- i.e., will not simply produce Powerpoint slides with general strategy suggestions, for whose implementation/results he is not responsible, then leave. My client is currently we are working to: 1) identify a candidate with the experience, commercial acumen and personal qualities necessary to contribute as a strategic advisor to them. 2) adjust the role specifics in order to maximize such an advisor’s benefit to the company, according to his experience and/or interest-- e.g. varying the length of the advisor’s engagement, “depth” of operational involvement, position titling, incentive package, etc. We have considered 2 possible roles, but are open to other arrangements a. Strategic consultant, assisting company senior management in creating a comprehensive business plan (up to 3 month engagement) followed by implementation advisory phase b.
