I need some advice regarding freelance payment rates.
I've been doing some work (translation/consulting) for a foreign company on
a freelance basis at an hourly rate. Then as my work load increased (about
80 hrs past month) my employer suggested a fixed monthly salary. The payment
is calculated based on the number of hours I worked. As a result I ended up
with a much lower hourly rate of course but still not enough hours to make
up for the monthly salary.

I wonder if anybody had similar experience.
What would be the right thing to do in this situation?
What to do with business trips (hourly/daily rate)?

Thanks,
Tony
