Hi Olga,

the calculation is simple: based on your resident days in the RF, your
income tax rate is calculated. If you stay less than 186 days in the RF,
you pay 30% for that year, if you stay more than 186 days, it is 13%.
Only full days in RF count, you may leave the country as well during
that period, only the total amount is relevant.
In my case, I had to hand in scans of my passport to prove how many days
I spent in Russia in 2008 (immigration stamps).

Dear Expat List,

Could anybody give some information on Income Tax for expatriates if
they work under Work Permit.
I heard that I will have to pay 30% (instead of 13%) for the period of
first 6 month, and only if during this period I will not cross the
borber(will stay on the territory of RF) recalculation will be done.
Please clarify on this situation.
Thanks to all in advance.

Best regards,

Olga Jefimova
